Our final round table of the year ends on a high

Our final round table of 2019 took place yesterday at the Langham Hotel, London. We welcomed HR and Reward professionals from a broad spectrum of businesses around the UK, to discuss the various challenges surrounding employee engagement over breakfast.

For this event we wanted to focus on the importance of employee wellbeing and mental health, so it was a pleasure to be joined by our guest speaker Claire Farrow, Conference Director and Head of Content at Mad World. In her insightful presentation, she outlined how employee wellbeing and employee engagement are intrinsically linked, despite often being looked at in isolation by employers.

As well as uncovering some useful statistics from Mad World’s Workplace, Culture and Wellbeing survey, Claire gave our attendees a number of useful actions to help them achieve sustainable engagement. Her presentation sparked some interesting conversations around the table which highlight the key challenges faced by businesses in tackling employee engagement, employee wellbeing and mental health.

Just like all of our round table events, we abide by the Chatham House Rule. This enables our attendees to share useful information and have completely open and honest discussions so that they can take away ideas that’ll shape their employee engagement strategies going forward.

Here are some testimonials from the event:

“It was great to meet others with the same challenges and talk through solutions. I now have a much clearer idea of where we need to go.”

“A valuable session sharing experiences and insights with other organisations which helped to reinforce good practice and point us in the right direction for improvement.”

This event, which marked our final round table for 2019, gave us all a lot of food for thought and raised questions about how we can all approach employee engagement and employee wellbeing in more effective ways.

Thank you to our attendees for your input and enthusiasm. Watch this space for more information about our next round table event, taking place early 2020.
